Stay Like You Mean It: Jeannie’s Top 4 Hotel Picks in Nashville & Franklin

Nashville

There’s something magical about checking into a beautiful hotel—even when you live just down the road. It’s the soft robe. The clink of cocktail glasses. The feeling of slipping into someone else’s world for a night, or two, or just long enough to remember what it feels like to exhale.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that some of the best connections, celebrations, and moments of quiet joy happen not at home, but a few miles from it. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, hosting out-of-town guests, or simply craving a little time to reset, these are my top four hotel picks—each one offering a unique blend of comfort, charm, and elevated experience.

Let’s just say… I’ve done the research.

One Hotel Nashville

If I had to pick one downtown hotel that instantly becomes my favorite escape, it’s this one. Earthy textures, reclaimed wood, and floor-to-ceiling greenery create a calm oasis—and yes, I’m totally here for the plants everywhere. For those who know me, you know I’m a plant girl through and through, and this space feels like it was designed just for me.

Start your evening with a golden-hour cocktail at Harriet’s Rooftop, where the views stretch across the city and the sunset puts on a show you’ll never forget. The atmosphere is elevated yet relaxed, the perfect prelude to your night.

For a true insider moment, dine at Lona and ask your server to point you to the speakeasy below. You’ll want to uncover Hidden Bar, a Prohibition-style lounge tucked beneath Noelle Hotel, where cocktails like the Bee’s Knees or Agave Fairy are well worth the adventure. This is a five-star experience, and you’ll feel it from the minute you arrive.

Four Seasons Hotel Nashville

This is the only place to be when only the best will do. The Four Seasons is sleek, indulgent, and perfectly located in the heart of downtown. Sip a cocktail by the rooftop pool overlooking the Cumberland River and Broadway’s neon glow.

Pro tip: If I were booking a night here, I’d reserve well in advance for Christmas Eve or the Fourth of July. Downtown Nashville comes alive with street celebrations, live music, and fireworks—and the Four Seasons puts you right in the middle of it all with the best view in town.

And after dinner downstairs, ask your server for access to Anonymous, the speakeasy-style bar hidden within the hotel. It’s intimate, exclusive, and yes—the cocktails are on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for one of the best drinks in the city.

A true five-star luxury stay, through and through.

The Harpeth Hotel – Downtown Franklin

Franklin holds a special place in my heart, and The Harpeth embodies that beautifully. Nestled along 2nd Avenue, this boutique hotel offers a blend of history, modern charm, and peaceful elegance. You can walk to coffee shops, boutiques, and my favorite brunch spots within minutes. Inside, the lounge welcomes you with live music, big cozy couches, and an inviting fireplace that makes you want to cancel all your plans and stay awhile. It’s where I send my guests when I want them to experience true Franklin hospitality.

Southall Farm & Inn – Franklin

If you want to truly get away without leaving home, Southall is the place. On 325 acres of rolling farmland and forest, this luxury retreat feels like a hidden world. Modern cabins with sweeping views, spa indulgences that rival Napa, and a farm‐to‐table restaurant make it unforgettable—even if you’re just visiting for the evening. I spent Christmas Eve here and it was nothing short of magical. I’ve also shared a beautiful mother-daughter spa day here, and I can’t recommend it enough. A five-star destination in every sense, Southall is where I go to unplug, reflect, and remember why I adore Middle Tennessee.

Stay Where You Feel Something

These aren’t just hotels—they’re havens. Whether you’re traveling from afar or live just a few minutes away, each one invites you to slow down, breathe deeper, and reconnect—with yourself, with someone you love—or with the place you now call home.

If you ever want to wake up near one of these inspired retreats, let’s connect. I’d love to help you find a home that feels just as beautiful.

Let’s make your everyday feel like a getaway.
