There’s something magical about slipping into a place that knows how to do mood lighting, cocktails, and conversation just right. Whether you’re dancing the night away or sipping something fabulous with your favorite people, these are my personal favorites for unwinding and embracing the rhythm of Nashville and Franklin. From rooftop views to velvet booths and secret doors—consider this your glam guide to going out in style. Harriet’s Rooftop – The One Hotel, The Gulch Stylish and effortlessly cool, Harriet’s offers panoramic views of the city skyline with an upscale yet laid-back vibe. Think curated cocktails, warm lighting, and a chic crowd that knows how to do evenings right. It’s the kind of place where sunsets feel cinematic and every detail—from the music to the menu—is thoughtfully designed for a memorable night out. This is hands-down my favorite rooftop bar in Downtown Nashville and my go-to when I want to feel inspired by the city. The Twelve Thirty Club – Downtown Nashville If you love live music with a side of sultry elegance, this is your place. You’ll find everything from low-key jazz to full-blown dance parties, all wrapped in velvet and vintage glamour. Head upstairs to the Supper Club for an unforgettable night out. The Red Phone Booth – Downtown Nashville Yes, it’s an actual phone booth—if you have the code. This prohibition-style speakeasy serves up some of the best cocktails in the city, and the moody, candlelit vibe is perfect for conversation or date night. The Henry – The Gulch Lush interiors, stylish crowds, and a menu that impresses just as much as the ambiance. Grab a booth for cocktails and people-watching or hit the rooftop for views and vibes. White Limozeen – West End This one is a full-on Barbie dreamscape. Think Dolly Parton-inspired rooftop complete with pink décor, whimsical drinks, and an always-playful crowd. It’s the ultimate spot for birthday toasts and girls’ nights. The Patterson House – Midtown Nashville Quiet, intimate, and effortlessly cool. The Patterson House is known for its craft cocktails and speakeasy entrance. A must if you love dim lights and perfectly shaken drinks. Sinatra Bar and Lounge – Downtown Nashville Channel your inner Rat Pack. With smooth jazz playing and a swanky mid-century aesthetic, this bar pays homage to Sinatra himself. Dress the part—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow dance. Eddie V’s – Midtown Nashville Refined but never stuffy, Eddie V’s blends an upscale steakhouse with a buzzing bar scene. The lounge often features live music and always has the kind of service that makes you feel like a VIP. Pushing Daisies Underground Margaritas – Downtown Nashville A little hidden, a lot of fun. Pushing Daisies is bold, edgy, and just underground enough to feel exclusive. Their margarita menu is next level, and the vibe is electric. Culaccino Rooftop – Downtown Franklin Elegant yet approachable, this rooftop is ideal for wine lovers and foodies alike. Grab a table for dinner or head to the rooftop lounge for a relaxed night with friends. The views of downtown Franklin never get old. Stable Reserve – Franklin Tucked inside a beautifully restored building, Stable Reserve offers craft cocktails, small plates, and serious ambiance. Perfect for after-dinner drinks or a cozy first date. O Be Joyful – Main Street, Franklin Lively, local, and always fun. OB Joyful has a great whiskey selection and just the right amount of rowdiness. It’s where locals gather, especially after dinner or post-concert. Harpeth Hotel Lounge – Downtown Franklin This one’s all about classic sophistication. With rich leather accents and live music on select nights, it’s a favorite for winding down or hosting out-of-town guests. Cork & Cow – Franklin More than just a steakhouse, Cork & Cow has one of the best cocktail bars in the area. Ideal for an intimate dinner or a pre-show sip before heading to the Franklin Theatre. 18th Amendment – Franklin Step into the Roaring Twenties. With its speakeasy charm and vintage décor, 18th Amendment delivers a moody, romantic setting with incredibly crafted cocktails to match. Kimbro’s Pickin’ Parlor – Franklin Housed in an old Franklin cottage, Kimbro’s is the definition of local charm and musical soul. Step inside for live performances in the Pickin’ Room or catch the magic when the crowd overflows onto the porch, guitars come out, and everyone sings along under the Tennessee stars. It’s unfiltered, unforgettable, and home to some of my most joy-filled nights. Nothing fancy—just heart, history, and a whole lot of harmony.

A Local’s Guide to Exploring, Connecting, and Maybe Even Staying for Good When friends or clients come to visit, they always ask the same thing: “What should we do while we’re here?” And without fail, by the end of their stay, they're the ones saying, “Wait... could we actually live here?” It’s a conversation I love having—because I felt that same pull myself when I first landed in Middle Tennessee. I came here looking for a fresh start, a slower rhythm, and a place where community still mattered. What I found was a mix of Southern charm, creative energy, and unexpected luxury. And now, one of my favorite things to do is play tour guide for people curious about all this area has to offer. So whether you're visiting, hosting family, or imagining life here for good—here’s how I show off the very best of Greater Nashville and Williamson County. Where to Go, What to Do — A Local’s Guide to Falling in Love With This Place Start in The Gulch – Nashville’s “Beverly Hills” This is where I take people when they want to experience the city's luxe side. Picture: five-star hotels, rooftop lounges, high-end boutiques, and some of the best dining in the South. It’s sleek, stylish, and buzzing with energy. Pro tip: Have a cocktail at The Henry or Bourbon Steak at the top of the JW Marriott—those views are magic. And my favorite vibe? Harriet's Rooftop Bar, at The One Hotel. Wander 12 South – For Murals, Mimosas & People-Watching This neighborhood is effortlessly cool. Grab coffee at Frothy Monkey, browse boutiques like Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James, and snap a photo in front of one of Nashville’s iconic murals. Visit the Ryman Auditorium – The Mother Church of Country Music Even if you’re not a country music fan, the Ryman has a reverence about it. The acoustics, the history, the stories—it’s where legends have stood, and where new voices are born. Catching a show here is an experience in itself. Kick Up Your Boots on Broadway Yes, it’s touristy. But it’s also iconic. Go ahead and lean into it—grab a drink, learn to line dance, and listen to incredible live music from future stars. Trust me, there’s nothing like it. I love the rooftop at The Stage or grabbing a bite at Merchants while people-watching. Escape to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens This one feels like a secret sanctuary. Walk through 55 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, art installations, and seasonal exhibits. The mansion itself is stunning and the views are peaceful—it’s an unexpected luxury just minutes from the city. Sip Wine at Arrington Vineyards Owned by Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, this vineyard is perched on rolling hills and makes for the perfect day trip. Pack a picnic, sip award-winning wine, and enjoy live music as the sun dips down. It’s one of my favorite “show-off” spots when people visit. Step Back in Time in Leiper’s Fork — Where Beauty, Soul, and Southern Spirit Meet There’s something about Leiper’s Fork that gets under your skin in the best way. In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful area in all of Middle Tennessee. Rolling hills, weathered barns, horses in the pasture, and winding country roads that feel like they were made for slow drives and long talks. It’s peaceful, soulful, and quietly luxurious. It’s also a favorite hideaway for country music legends and creative souls who crave privacy, land, and a little room to breathe. You’ll find gorgeous estates tucked behind tree-lined drives, front porches made for storytelling, and a deep sense of community you can feel the moment you arrive. At the heart of it all is Fox & Locke, a historic general store turned live music haven where local talent and rising stars take the stage during their famous Thursday night open mics. And if you know what I mean... you never know who might show up for a surprise performance. 😉 Here’s a little local secret: after open mic night, head downstairs beneath Country Boy Restaurant to find a cozy speakeasy bar. It’s intimate, full of character, and the perfect nightcap to your Leiper’s Fork adventure. Spend the afternoon browsing antique shops, chatting with gallery owners, and enjoying the pace of a town that’s mastered the art of slowing down. Downtown Franklin — A Storybook Town You’ll Want to Stay In This is home for me—and even after all these years, it still feels like a dream. Franklin has that rare mix of history, charm, and community that makes you instantly slow down and soak it all in. Start your visit with a step back in time—take a historic tour through the Lotz House or the Carnton Estate, where stories of courage and Southern resilience come to life. Then, wander down Main Street with its beautifully preserved architecture and small-town warmth. It’s hard not to fall in love with the curated boutiques, local art galleries, charming bookstores, and the kind of cozy coffee shops where everyone seems to know your name. When the sun dips low, head to Culaccino’s rooftop bar for craft cocktails and small plates with a gorgeous view of town—it’s my go-to spot to unwind, especially when I’m hosting friends. If one day just isn’t enough (and trust me, it won’t be), book a stay at The Harpeth Hotel—an upscale boutique hotel nestled right in the heart of downtown. It’s elegant, walkable, and the perfect home base for soaking up every bit of Franklin’s magic. Thinking About Staying a Little Longer? Hey, I get it. The Nashville area has that pull. If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “I could totally live here,” you’re not alone. Sunshine? Check. Birds chirping? Check. Now all that’s missing... is the perfect place to walk it out. When life gets full (and let’s be honest—it often does), there’s nothing quite like lacing up my sneakers, grabbing a leash for Ms. Kora, and heading out somewhere peaceful. Whether I need a quiet nature moment or a long walk to clear my head and sort through the 274 tabs open in my brain, these local spots are my go-tos: Peaceful + Pretty These are the trails that feel like a deep breath. Calm, scenic, and full of those little moments that make you pause and smile. Timberland Park (off the Natchez Trace) – A peaceful forest escape with shady paths and beautiful overlooks. Smith Park – Gorgeous views and that peaceful "Tennessee sky" feeling. Aspen Grove Park – A cozy little gem tucked into Franklin that’s perfect for a mid-day reset. Wide Open Space Vibes Need room to think or just want to stretch out and wander? These parks give you all the space you need. Harlinsdale Farm – Open fields, big skies, and a beautiful backdrop for reflective walks. Crockett Park in Brentwood – Paved paths, nature trails, and plenty of room to roam. Preservation Park in Thompson’s Station – Quiet and underrated with wide views and gentle hills. For People-Watching + Pups If Ms. Kora had a favorite category, it would be this one. Great spots to stroll, see a few friendly faces, and soak in some happy energy. Pinkerton Park – Great for people (and dog!) watching and a favorite for families. Westhaven Trails – Beautifully maintained paths winding through one of my favorite neighborhoods. Marcella Vivrette Smith Park – A little bit of everything: nature, views, and space to enjoy it all. If your idea of a perfect day includes sneakers, sunshine, and a breeze in your hair, I hope this list gives you a few new ideas. And hey—if there’s a trail, park, or path that you absolutely love, I’d really like to hear about it. I’m always looking for new places to explore with Ms. Kora. Just reach out and share—I might just take a walk there this weekend.

I get asked this often — sometimes by clients, sometimes by friends, and occasionally by people standing next to me in line at Frothy Monkey: “What is it about Tennessee?” There’s no single answer. It’s not just the landscape or the lifestyle or the lower taxes — though those all help. It’s the way this place makes you feel grounded and expansive at the same time. And after living in Williamson County for over a decade, I can confidently say: it’s the best kind of magic. Quiet beauty that never feels ordinary The sunrises here have a softness to them. The evenings glow gold in a way that makes you pause, even on the busiest days. And there’s something so comforting about the winding roads, the open fields, and the rhythm of nature woven through daily life. This isn’t scenery that demands attention — it simply deserves it. A slower pace that makes room for connection People here say good morning and really mean it. Neighbors look out for each other. There’s a generosity of spirit that reminds you what community should feel like. Whether you’re walking through the Franklin Farmers Market, stopping by a school play, or enjoying live music downtown — there’s a shared warmth that feels like being welcomed in, not just passing through. The freedom to build a life that feels like you Tennessee offers more than just beautiful homes and scenic drives — it gives you space to breathe, dream, and grow into your next chapter. It’s ideal for those seeking balance: rooted traditions paired with fresh energy, Southern charm with just the right edge of modern ease. And for families, creatives, entrepreneurs, and retirees alike, there’s something deeply satisfying about putting down roots somewhere that supports both your peace and your purpose. A practical move — with heart Yes, the real estate market here is strong. Yes, there’s no state income tax. Yes, the schools are top-tier. But for most of the people I work with, the real win is that Tennessee doesn’t just check boxes — it feels right. It’s where they can slow down without missing out. Where life feels a little softer, a little brighter, and a whole lot more intentional. You’ll know when it’s time The clients I help relocate here usually say some version of the same thing: “I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I got here.” And truthfully, I felt that too. It’s why I stayed. If Tennessee has been quietly calling your name, it may be more than just a passing thought. Let’s talk about what you're hoping to find — and how I can help you find it right here, in a place that truly feels like home. I’d love to hear what’s drawing you in. What part of Tennessee life feels like the dream? Let’s start there.

Jump In—Because Life’s Too Short to Sit on the Sidelines When I first moved to Tennessee, I didn’t know anyone outside of my family. I had just left a fast-paced life in California, traded the coast for rolling hills, and hoped I’d find the kind of home you feel—not just live in. What I didn’t expect was how quickly this place would embrace me. Tennis was my gateway. I joined a local clinic, met a group of amazing women, and we started taking lessons together. That one decision spiraled into team matches, lunch dates, and friendships that turned into family. But I didn’t stop there. In my neighborhood, I said yes to everything—book club, bunco, Bible study, even knitting. (Yes, I knit. Don’t laugh until you try it. 😉) I volunteered with the local Heritage Foundation, offered my time to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and joined causes that filled my heart and gave back to the community that was giving me so much. I got involved with my office culture too—planning events, hosting gatherings, finding little ways to make work feel more like home. And somewhere along the way, I realized something: the more I showed up, the more I felt like I belonged. So, if you’re new to town, or just looking for your people—my advice is simple: Jump in. Join something. Say yes. Show up. Laugh loudly. Give freely. Connect deeply. Your people are out there. And they’re probably looking for you too. Here are a few ways to start finding your rhythm in a new place: 1. Say Yes to Group Activities Whether it’s tennis, pickleball, trivia night, or a local running group—shared hobbies are the easiest way to meet new people without the pressure of small talk. 2. Join a Club in Your Neighborhood Most communities in Williamson County have vibrant social calendars—think book clubs, bunco nights, supper clubs, garden groups, and more. Don’t overthink it. Just show up. 3. Volunteer Where Your Heart Feels Pulled Getting involved with local organizations like the Heritage Foundation, animal rescues, or children's charities is not only deeply fulfilling—it connects you with others who share your values. 4. Attend Local Events (Even Alone) From music festivals to farmers markets to Main Street parades, our community loves a good gathering. Even if you go solo, I promise you’ll leave with a few new connections and maybe a favorite coffee cart. 5. Be the One to Invite Sometimes, connection starts with you. Host a casual wine night. Invite a neighbor for a walk. Start the thing you wish existed. One invitation can spark something special. 6. Tap Into Your Kids’ Activities If you’re a parent, showing up for school events, sports games, and parent groups is one of the most organic ways to meet others in the same season of life. This is how you turn a new place into home. You show up. You share yourself. You find your people. And you let the rest unfold. If you ever need help finding the "right" neighborhood to match your lifestyle or a few local recommendations to get started, I’m just a message away. Let’s make sure you love not just where you live—but how you live.
